Terms and Conditions

General Lesson Terms

1. Special offers are limited to one per person i.e. more than one special offer cannot be purchased for the same person.
2. Lessons are only available in the Cookstown, Magherafelt, Newtownabbey, Larne, Carrickfergus, Newtownards, Bangor, East Belfast and North Belfast areas. For those living outside these areas, the lesson will commence and finish in these areas. The individual is responsible for making the necessary travel arrangements.
3. Discounted packages and intensive courses are non-refundable and are only valid for 6 months from the start date.
4. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
5. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be charged in full.
6. Lessons are valid for the named person only and are not transferable.
7. Vouchers are to be treated as cash. Lost or missing vouchers will not be honoured or replaced.
8. All deposit for waiting lists our non-refundable and will be charged at £40. Purchases of single hour lessons are counted as deposits and so are non-refundable.
9. The Five lesson Christmas voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase fifth lesson must be used on the day of test when using instructors car use of private car will void fifth lesson.
10. All bookings subject to availability.
11. The 2 lessons for £30 automatic offer. Second lesson can only be used on the day of test when using instructors car use of private car on test will void lesson.
12. All Automatic lessons will be delivered in a two hour timeslot.
13. By agreeing our T&C’s, you agree to Mail Marketing from NI Driving School. You can unsubscribe from this at any time at the bottom of our emails.
14. Lessons start at £40 per hour. There may additional charges for unsociable hours.
15. All digital videos are non-refundable.
16. Christmas vouchers can only be used from 1st January 2025.
17. All deals specifying a number of lessons for a specific price are currently invalid. This includes deals on old signs and old social media posts.
18. Entry to the Mentoring course starts at £750 (non-refundable). This grants access to a 24 hour WhatsApp group and a weekly check-in with a mentor.
19. The free driving lesson with our 10 Driving Lesson Package can only be used on the day of the your test.
20. All Theory Class Participants hearby agree that all recordings from the online courses will and can be shared via NI Driving School’s WhatsApp Groups.
21. No Theory Class Participants are premitted to share the videos from the WhatsApp Group in any way. This may result in legal action being taken.
22. Please note that you must contact NI Driving School for the most up-to-date waiting times, as these may vary depending on location.
23. Christmas Vouchers
    • 23(a): Any Christmas vouchers purchased after 20 December will not be issued as a physical voucher. Instead, you will receive a confirmation email containing your order number.
    • 23(b): Name changes are not permitted on vouchers once issued.
    • 23(c): All vouchers and lesson packages are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase.
24. Training Licence Sponsorship
    • 24(a): NI Driving School is under no obligation whatsoever to provide, arrange, secure, or maintain a training licence sponsorship for any individual undertaking a training programme with the school.
    • 24(b): The responsibility for obtaining and maintaining a suitable sponsor for a training licence rests solely and entirely with the individual undertaking the training programme. NI Driving School accepts no liability or responsibility where an individual is unable to obtain, retain, or satisfy the requirements of any sponsorship arrangement.
    • 24(c): Any sponsorship, support, or introduction offered by NI Driving School shall be provided strictly at the sole discretion of NI Driving School and may be refused, withdrawn, suspended, or terminated at any time without notice.
    • 24(d): Where an individual requests or is offered sponsorship assistance through NI Driving School, the individual must first read, agree to, sign, and fully comply with all applicable subcontractor agreements, terms and conditions, non-compete clauses, confidentiality provisions, and restrictive covenants imposed by NI Driving School and/or its associated subcontractors.
    • 24(e): Failure to comply with any such agreement or contractual obligation shall entitle NI Driving School to immediately refuse or withdraw any sponsorship assistance, training support, or associated services without liability.
    • 24(f): Exclusive Instructor Training During their period of training with NI Driving School, trainee instructors agree to undertake their Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) training exclusively through NI Driving School. To ensure consistency of tuition, accurate assessment of progress, and the effective delivery of our training programme, trainees must not simultaneously receive instructor training, coaching, or mentoring from any other ADI trainer, training provider, or driving school without the prior written consent of NI Driving School. NI Driving School’s training programmes are designed as structured courses in which each stage builds upon previous learning. Receiving training from multiple providers may result in conflicting instruction and may adversely affect progress and assessment outcomes. Where NI Driving School becomes aware that a trainee is receiving instructor training from another provider without prior agreement, NI Driving School reserves the right to suspend or terminate training services, withdraw access to training materials and resources, and cancel any future training sessions without refund where appropriate.
25. Refunds and Administration Charges
    • 25(a): Customers are responsible for ensuring that NI Driving School provides lessons within their chosen area before purchasing driving lessons through our website.
    • 25(b): If a customer purchases lessons and it is subsequently determined that NI Driving School does not currently operate in that area, or if there is an existing waiting list for instructors in that area and the customer chooses not to wait and requests a refund, an administration fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
    • 25(c): This administration fee will cover any non-refundable merchant processing fees incurred by NI Driving School, together with a reasonable administration charge to cover the costs associated with processing the booking and refund.
    • 25(d): The administration charge will be deducted from the total amount refunded. NI Driving School reserves the right to retain these costs to ensure that the business is not financially disadvantaged where customers have not confirmed service availability or waiting list status prior to making a purchase.
26. Employment, Franchise Opportunities & Instructor Positions
    • 26(a): NI Driving School does not guarantee employment, a franchise position, pupil allocations, or any form of engagement solely as a result of enrolling in, attending, or successfully completing any instructor training course. All instructors operating with or through NI Driving School do so on a self-employed basis, and nothing within the training course or subsequent arrangements shall be interpreted as creating an employer-employee relationship.
    • 26(b): Any opportunity to work with, represent, or join NI Driving School as a driving instructor is subject to:
      • Successfully obtaining the required driving instructor qualifications and approvals.
      • Completion of a suitability and competency assessment.
      • A successful interview with NI Driving School management.
      • Availability of instructor positions within the business at the relevant time.
      • Meeting NI Driving School’s professional, operational, and customer service standards.
    • 26(c): Enrolment on a training course should not be interpreted as an offer of employment, a guaranteed franchise opportunity, or a guaranteed position within NI Driving School.
    • 26(d): NI Driving School reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline any application to join the business, regardless of whether the individual has completed training or obtained the relevant qualifications.
