Terms and Conditions

By visiting the NI Driving School website or by purchasing any of the products on our website, you agree and are subject to the below Terms and Conditions.

General Lesson Terms

  1. Special offers are limited to one per person i.e. more than one special offer cannot be purchased for the same person.
  2. Lessons are only available in the Cookstown, Magherafelt, Newtownabbey, Larne, Carrickfergus, Newtownards, Bangor, East Belfast and North Belfast areas. For those living outside these areas, the lesson will commence and finish in these areas. The individual is responsible for making the necessary travel arrangements.
  3. Discounted packages and intensive courses are non-refundable and are only valid for 6 months from the start date.
  4. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
  5. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be charged in full.
  6. Lessons are valid for the named person only and are not transferable.
  7. Vouchers are to be treated as cash. Lost or missing vouchers will not be honoured or replaced.
  8. All deposit for waiting lists our non-refundable and will be charged at £40. Purchases of single hour lessons are counted as deposits and so are non-refundable.
  9. The Five lesson Christmas voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase fifth lesson must be used on the day of test when using instructors car use of private car will void fifth lesson.
  10. All bookings subject to availability.
  11. The 2 lessons for £30 automatic offer. Second lesson can only be used on the day of test when using instructors car use of private car on test will void lesson.
  12. All Automatic lessons will be delivered in a two hour timeslot.
  13. By agreeing our T&C’s, you agree to Mail Marketing from NI Driving School. You can unsubscribe from this at any time at the bottom of our emails.
  14. Lessons start at £40 per hour. There may additional charges for unsociable hours.
  15. All digital videos are non-refundable.
  16. Christmas vouchers can only be used from 1st January 2025.
  17. All deals specifying a number of lessons for a specific price are currently invalid. This includes deals on old signs and old social media posts.
  18. Entry to the Mentoring course starts at £750 (non-refundable). This grants access to a 24 hour WhatsApp group and a weekly check-in with a mentor.
  19. The free driving lesson with our 10 Driving Lesson Package can only be used on the day of the your test.
  20. All Theory Class Participants hearby agree that all recordings from the online courses will and can be shared via NI Driving School’s WhatsApp Groups.
  21. No Theory Class Participants are premitted to share the videos from the WhatsApp Group in any way. This may result in legal action being taken.
  22. Christmas Vouchers
    • 22(a): Any Christmas vouchers purchased after 20 December will not be issued as a physical voucher. Instead, you will receive a confirmation email containing your order number.
    • 22(b): Name changes are not permitted on vouchers once issued.
    • 22(c): All vouchers and lesson packages are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

Competition Terms and Conditions

1.0 The Competition

  • 1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on the promoter’s website at www.NIDrivingschool.com
  • 1.2 All competitions are skill–based competitions and an entry fee is payable each time you enter. However, there is a free entry route and further details of this are included in section 4.0.
  • 1.3 To be in with a chance of winning, everyone who enters the competition (an “entrant”) will be required to correctly answer a skill–based question set by the promoter (the “competition question”).

2.0 Competition Details

  • 2.1 The competition will run from, and include the opening and closing dates specified on the website. These dates shall be referred to as the “Opening Date” and “Closing Date” respectively. All times and dates referred to are with respect to GMT.
  • 2.2 If necessary, the promoter reserves the right to change the opening and closing dates. If the promoter does change the opening and/or closing Date of a competition, the new details will be displayed on the website or Facebook page.
  • 2.3 All competition entries must be received by the promoter by no later than the specified time on the closing date, or for free entries, 48 hours prior to the closing date. All competition entries received after the specified time are automatically disqualified and no refunds will be given.
  • 2.4 The maximum number of entries to the competition will be stated on the website. The number of entries you are able to make may be limited if the maximum number of entries is reached.

3.0 How to Enter

  • 3.1 Go to the website and select the competition you wish to enter to view the competition details.
  • 3.2 Answer the skill–based question.
  • 3.3 Purchase the required number of entries. Payment must be made in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
  • 3.4 The promoter will send confirmation that your entry has been received and confirm whether or not your answer to the Competition Question is correct.
  • 3.5 All correct entries will be provided with a unique entry number that will be entered into the competition draw.
  • 3.6 Incorrect answers will still be charged and will not be entered into the competition draw.

4.0 Free Entry

  • 4.1 There will be an opportunity for one individual to gain one free entry into the competition.
  • 4.2 One free entry will be selected at random during the competition and prior to the competition closing date.
  • 4.3 Free entry opportunities will be announced through the NI Driving School Facebook page.
  • 4.4 In order to be eligible to gain a free entry to the competition, you will need to Like, share and tag three people on the original post.
  • 4.5 Postal Entries: Send an unenclosed postcard containing your choice of competition, full name, address, telephone, email, date of birth, and answer.

8.0 Eligibility

Note: Lessons will only be delivered in North Belfast and Newtownabbey area.

  • 8.1 The competition is open to all residents in the United Kingdom and Ireland aged 16 years or over.
  • 8.8 No refunds of the entry fee will be given if you are unable to access driving lessons in the North Belfast and Newtownabbey area.

17.0 Free Car Competition – 2023

  • 17.1 Participants must like our Facebook page, share the post, and tag 5 friends.
  • 17.2 Only participants living in Northern Ireland will be considered for the prize.
  • 17.3 Any qualified driving instructor on the IDA register is not eligible for the prize.

Training Requirement - NI Driving School

All training must be completed exclusively with NI Driving School. Trainees are not permitted to undertake any training, instruction, or preparation with any other driving instructor, driving school, or training provider during the course of their instructor training with NI Driving School.

Engaging in training with another instructor or organisation while enrolled in this programme will be considered a breach of your training agreement/contract.

Attendance at all scheduled training sessions is compulsory and must continue until you are fully qualified as a driving instructor. Consistent participation is essential to ensure you receive the correct guidance, maintain training standards, and successfully progress through each stage of the qualification process.

By enrolling in instructor training with NI Driving School, you agree to follow these requirements and commit fully to completing your training through the programme provided.

Non-Compete Agreement for Subcontractors

1. Definitions

  • 1.1. “The Company” refers to NI Driving School.
  • 1.2. “Subcontractor” refers to the individual entering into this agreement who provides driving instruction or instructor training services to NI Driving School on an independent contractor basis.
  • 1.3. “Restricted Business” refers to any business that:
    • Provides driving instruction to individuals.
    • Offers training or certification for driving instructors, including but not limited to teaching Parts Two and Three of the driving instructor training course.
  • 1.4. “Restricted Period” refers to the duration of the restrictions outlined in this clause.

2. Acknowledgment of Subcontractor Status

  • 2.1. The Subcontractor acknowledges that they are not an employee, agent, or partner of NI Driving School, but instead operate as an independent contractor.
  • 2.2. The Subcontractor agrees that this agreement does not create an employer-employee relationship and that they are responsible for their own tax, insurance, and business expenses.

3. Training Participation and Insight Protection

  • 3.1. The Subcontractor acknowledges that participation in teaching Parts Two and Three of the driving instructor training course provides access to significant proprietary knowledge, methods, and insights unique to NI Driving School.
  • 3.2. The Subcontractor agrees that they will not engage in teaching, training, or certification activities similar to Parts One Two and Three for any competing business or personal enterprise during their subcontract and for a period of 24 months following the termination of this agreement.
  • 3.3. The Subcontractor further agrees that participation in teaching Parts Two and Three is conditional upon signing this non-compete agreement to protect the proprietary processes and methods of NI Driving School.

4. Non-Compete Obligations

The Subcontractor agrees that, during the term of their subcontract with NI Driving School and for a period of 24 months following the termination of this agreement (regardless of the reason for termination):

  • 4.1. The Subcontractor shall not, directly or indirectly:
    • Establish, manage, or operate any business offering services identical or similar to the Restricted Business within a 25-mile radius of any location where NI Driving School operates.
    • Act as a sole trader, partner

5. Electronic Signature

  • 5.1. The Subcontractor acknowledges and agrees that this agreement may be executed electronically, and such electronic signatures shall be treated as having the same legal effect as handwritten signatures in accordance with the UK Electronic Communications Act 2000 and eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014, as retained in UK law.
  • 5.2. By signing this agreement electronically and returning it via email, the Subcontractor confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms outlined in this agreement.
